Texting, not calling

When Evan texts me, his message is often not clear nor understandable. So I often call him back instead of guessing. As a result, now when I text Evan he calls me back and asks me what I want. My texts are clear and understandable. I want him to read them. He is matching my behavior, which is both acceptable and ridiculous.

In a rare texting conversation without calling interruptions, we planned part of our return to Boston as follows:

E: I me park stree get poster me come back evan
M: what poster
E: my work
M: MIT or state Capitol
E: About you want a anything
M: Ok
E: You lot do thing get back boston
M: What things?
E: Mit homework
